2022 Toyota Prius Prime Hybrid Price, New Model – Although Toyota has been offering plug-in models since 2012, the first generation Prius Prime arrived in 2017. Toyota is based Prime on the Prius standard, but it brings a unique look with exclusive lights, taillights, and interior styling.

Prius Prime remains largely unchanged since its debut, but the update at 2020 brings a new seating configuration, standard smartphone integration, and a few other tweak features. We hope 2022 Prius Prime becomes a carryover model.

As a carryover model, we expect the 2022 Toyota Prius Prime to roll with the same basic styling of it since the 2017 debut. These will include slitlike lamps, wing-shaped taillights, swoopy rooflines, and more. The only change we anticipate was the choice of the paint Wind Chill Pearl which replaced the Blizzard Pearl.

2022 Toyota Prius Prime Features

In it, Prius Prime currently replaces a fixed center rear console with a central seat much more useful. It also gained a standard smartphone integration and two rear USB ports. In addition to this update, the interiors remain the same since the debut 2017. We hope the interior design remained unchanged in 2021.

Many hybrids have come and gone since the Toyota Prius first arrived in the US for a 2001 year model, but the original hybrid Toyota remained – and it celebrated this anniversary. Toyota is marking 20 years of selling the Prius on our beach with a special edition version for the model 2022 years.

2022 Toyota Prius Prime Price

Toyota hasn’t released the price for the Prius 2022, but it should represent only a small uptick of the 2020 Prius, which starts at $25,280. 2020 units of Model 2020 edition will be produced in total and should be sold later this year.

Under the hood, all remained the same since its debut, and we hope this continues to be 2022. If this is the case, the 2022 Prius Prime will include a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor that combines for 121 horsepower and a 25-mile all-electric Driving Range. Unlike a hybrid sibling, Prius Prime does not have an all-wheel-drive option.

2022 Toyota Prius Prime Safety

Currently, Toyota Prius Prime is the IIHS Top Safety Pick Thanks for the “good ” Crash security rankings in all tests except “acceptable “-Rated side passengers-small overlapping tests. Also, help achieve this TSP status is “acceptable ” headlights and “Superior “-Rated standard automatic emergency braking system.

We expect the 2022 Toyota Prius Prime to continue with the same security rating and features, but it will probably lose the Top safety Pick status due to the new IIHS criteria, which requires “good “-Rated side passenger-small test overlap.

This hybrid plug-in will compete with the Hyundai Ioniq plug-in, Honda’s clarity plug-in, and KIA Niro plug-in Hybrid.
