2024 Toyota Sequoia Will Get A New Engine From Tundra

2024 Toyota Sequoia – It is rumored that Sequoia will get both new engines from the Tundra. That means ditching the tried, accurate, and highly inefficient 5.7-liter V8 for two 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 versions.

The primary gas version emits 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. The upgraded hybrid version of the i-Force Max delivers up to 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque.

The leaks, as mentioned above, have Sequoia following in the Tundra’s footsteps with high-performance TRD Pro trim and luxurious high-end Capstone trim.

While the Toyota Tundra benefits from a complete redesign for 2022, its SUV relative, Sequoia, remains unchanged for 2022.

Nevertheless, we think these two full-size models will once again share mechanical components in the 2023 or 2024 model years.

As in previous generations, Sequoia must have a shorter wheelbase than the Tundra to compete with the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon, and Nissan Armada.

It’s possible that Sequoia with a long wheelbase also entered the mix to go head-to-head with suburban, expedition max, and Yukon XL.

Like the Tundra, the next-generation Sequoia will have to swap the current V-8 SUV engine for a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine.

Dubbed the i-Force, the forced induction engine produces 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. We fully expect the 437-hp gasoline-electric hybrid i-Force Max Tundra powertrain to find its way under the sequoia hood as an optional extra, too. The TRD Pro model finally looks like it’s given at the moment.

But to date, there hasn’t been any official info related to the 2024 Toyota Sequoia, and we anticipate this will change soon, with the Japanese automaker likely to launch a large SUV sometime in 2023 or 2024.

The Sequoia is currently very long in gear like its Toyota tundra sibling. Toyota’s current-generation full-size SUV was last redesigned in 2008.

Rumor has it that the next Sequoia will be based on the same frame-based platform TNGA-F that now underpins the all-new Tundra 2022.

The next Sequoia will be built at Toyota’s San Antonio, Texas manufacturing facility and the new Tundra.

This particular prototype is highly camouflaged, but its overall shape is about the size of the current Sequoia. Due to its wheel design and dual exhaust outlet may trim the off-road TRD Pro from Sequoia.

Twin exhaust pipes came out on the driver’s side of the SUV. The new Tundra TRD Pro 2022 has twin exhaust outlets on the same side. The rearview mirror design also looks very similar to the new Tundra 2022.

Sequoia’s suspension and trim level options may be similar to the Tundra 2022. Depending on the model and configuration, suspension options should include standard, Bilstein, Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), or FOX shocks. Sequoia can also be present in SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, and 1794 Edition trims.

The New 2023 Toyota Sequoia is likely to get a hybrid.

The Toyota Sequoia is an old American favorite with a lot of history. The second-generation Sequoia is almost thirteen years old and has had a rewarding outing on the market.

The modernized 2023 Toyota Sequoia could arrive in showrooms in the second half of next year with an overhauled exterior and a technological interior.

Now that the new Tundra is here, the discussion forum is excited about Toyota’s upcoming frame SUV. Like the two previous models of vehicles, the new Sequoia will follow close ties with the new Tundra.

The new Sequoia will serve as the indirect successor to the Land Cruiser 200 in the U.S., where Toyota has yet to launch the LC300.

The upcoming Toyota Sequoia may resemble the Tundra to its front, but it will also have a quieter look than a pickup truck.

SUVs won’t deviate from the current boxy exterior, but a sharper style to suit the tastes of SUV customers in 2022 can be expected.

Toyota has been testing the new Sequoia on public roads, and Kirk Kreifels’ YouTube channel has posted a prototype video with 18-inch BBS wrought alloy wheels.

Toyota engineers may be testing the new Sequoia TRD Pro, which also features a double exhaust tip. It looks roughly as big as the 2022 Sequoia, and it doesn’t look like Toyota will launch extended versions like Ford’s Expedition and Chevrolet’s Suburban.

2023 Toyota Sequoia Interior

Changes in the Interior section may include a more elegant dashboard, a new steering wheel, a free-screen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a more intuitive driver information display, and a head-up screen.

The equipment list may include new comforts such as massage chairs and heated steering wheels.

2023 Toyota Sequoia Price

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia can start at around $52,000. The main rivals are the Ford Expedition, which is getting a facelift for MY2022 in the coming months, and the Chevrolet Tahoe, which underwent a complete model change for the MY2021 in December 2019.
