The New Toyota Grand Highlander is an impressive addition to the automaker’s SUV lineup, offering a larger, more feature-packed alternative to the standard Highlander.

Designed by Calty Design Studios and manufactured exclusively at Toyota Motor Manufacturing’s plant in Princeton, Indiana, the Grand Highlander will be a game changer in the midsize SUV market.

Measuring 201.4 inches long, the Grand Highlander is 6.5 inches longer, 2.3 inches wide, and two inches taller than the standard Highlander.

With an extended wheelbase of about 116 inches, the new model provides ample space for passengers and cargo.

The interior offers adult-sized third-row seating and up to 98 cubic feet of cargo space with seats folding down.

Toyota Grand Highlander Powertrain

The 2025 Grand Highlander is expected to be available in three powertrains:

  • A balanced 2.4L turbo gas engine.
  • A 2.5L hybrid leads to efficiency.
  • A performance-seeking 362-horsepower MAX Hybrid.

The MAX Hybrid powertrain boasts an impressive 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds and a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs.

Offered in three classes – XLE, Limited, and Platinum – Grand Highlander caters to a wide range of customer needs.

The XLE trim features SofTex faux leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and a captain’s seat in the middle row.

Sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, and second-row blinds are also added for extra comfort and convenience.

Advanced technology is a major selling point for the 2025 Grand Highlander, with a standard 12.3-inch multimedia display, available digital locks, traffic jam assistance, a head-up display, and digital rearview mirrors.

Safety features include the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense, TSS 3.0, with a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and steering-assisted lane departure warning.
