New 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Release Date
New 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Release Date
New 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Release Date – Since Toyota introduced all-new Hybrid Highlander models for 2020 years, we anticipate that the 2022 model will become carryover. The only major change we expected to see for 2022 was the addition of the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. Toyota’s newest safety Suite is expected to be standard throughout the Hybrid Highlander 2022 lineup.
Just like the all-new Hybrid Highlander 2020, the model year 2022 will wear the same aggressive design that Toyota introduced for SUV last year.
New 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Release Date
From angular spotlights, the wide front air intake, flowing groove along the sides, spoiler, and sharp backlights give the current Hybrid Highlander a noticeable look that is not unlike any other hybrid SUV on the market. The cab design is equally dramatic with sharp edges, a level center console layout, and high-end materials.
Toyota Highlander Hybrid Features
In front of technology, the 2022 Highlander Hybrid will come with the same technology as the current model. That includes an 8-inch touchscreen, USB Port, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi Hot Spot, satellite radio, and Bluetooth. Higher trims come with a 12.3-Inch Touchscreen, navigation, Premium JBL audio system, and wireless charging.
Toyota will continue to offer a Hybrid Highlander with upscale Platinum trim. This Model will come with 20-inch Alloy Wheels, Grill Shutters, Gray metallic exterior Trim pieces, a floating-roof design, and a chrome badge. This is not a big difference, but subtle changes help the Platinum Trim stand out as one of the most extravagant in the lineup.
2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Horsepower
No change is expected to occur under the hood 2022 Highlander Hybrid. That means the power will come from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and up to two electric motors for a combined output of 243 horsepower. The continuous variable automatic transmission is included with the powertrain, such as a nickel-Metal-hydride battery. As standard, the Hybrid Highlander is equipped with a front-wheel drive. ALL-wheel drive will also be available.
When it comes to safety features, that’s where 2022 Highlander Hybrid is expected to receive updates compared to the 2020 year model. Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.5 will be standard on any Hybrid Highlander. This Suite includes all the same features from last year, including automatic emergency braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, advanced collision warnings, path-keeping help, and automatic high beams.
TSS 2.5 will add an updated pre-collision system that supports the left turn at the intersection and the Curve Speed management feature for the Adaptive cruise control system. Furthermore, the path-detection will now offer an improved line recognition with something Toyota calls risk evasion emergency steering.
2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Interior
Toyota’s safety package Sense is in for some new equipment, according to a document that is sent to the customer’s fleet, and we will be inclined to first see the update on the 2022 Highlander SUV.
Some new features could coincide with the update pushed to the Lexus Safety System Plus, which debuted with 2021 Lexus IS last week. We wouldn’t know, however, until Toyota made the official change.
What looks a bit weird is the fact the Toyota apparently will not roll up all the new features out for any new 2022 model. Reports show that while the Highlander and Highlander Hybrid 2022 will get additional driver-assist and active safety technology, 2021 Venza will not say the document. Other 2022 models such as RAV4 Prime will stick with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 as well.
