2021 Toyota Tacoma SR Features

For 2021, Tacoma secured seats with adjustable power for the first time, potentially correcting the amazingly low driving positions that have hit it. The V6-powered SR5 Trim and those on it come so equipped. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa connectivity are now standardized on every Tacoma, while the top Trim level now has access to advanced parking and off-roading camera systems, as well as standard LED lights. Front-end styling has also been tweaked for 2021 Tacoma.

If you are shopping for Tacoma, nothing with “TRD ” In the name represents a specific one. They look cooler and go where other versions can not. And if you’re not particularly keen on getting dirty Tacoma, you might as well get a different, more comfortable, spacious and smooth medium truck.

2021 Toyota Tacoma SR Horsepower

The Power comes from a standard 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine (159 Horsepower), but you would be wise to get a 3.5-liter V6 that generates 278 HP and 265 lb-ft torque. When supplemented by the V6 package tow, Tacoma was good for 6,800 pounds.

Like other medium-size trucks, there is an expanded cabin body style (Access Cab) and crew (Double Cab), but not competitors are relatively wide. The Double Cab can be paired with a short or long bed, though, which is not possible in some other medium-size trucks.

The medium pickup truck market has evolved, but it’s fair to say that Toyota Tacoma is still an opportunity – on a favorite for many buyers. From basic work-truck configurations to opulent or off-Road-oriented variants, Tacoma is one of the most well-sold pickups at the moment.

The improvements for the 2021 model, combined with the historically strong resale price, made this year the Tacoma better value proposition than ever before.

It starts at the inside where it gets a larger touchscreen and new Infotainment system which eventually features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrations. This addition makes it much easier to avoid the use of Toyota’s Entune software, which is not very intuitive.

Other modifications included the automatic recalibrated transmission — which helped reduce the sluggish feel that hit Tacoma last year — and the driver’s seat power that offers greater customization for increased comfort.

As before, the relatively high altitude of travel can inhibit entry into the cab, but it also means every Tacoma is ready to depart from the beaten path at the time. The same is especially true of the two off-Road trims that have a superior angle-of-approach, grease shock, and a differential center locked to enhance the potential of adventure. The new bottom-facing camera further helps you avoid the frame-bending obstacles you might encounter.

This adjustment corrects the most significant complaints we’ve had about the past Tacomas. The Tacoma has a slightly rougher ride than rivals like the Chevrolet Colorado and Honda Ridgeline.

And if you want the most Rock-crawling pickups, the new Jeep exes the Gladiators out a little edge. But Toyota Tacoma represents a good balance between on-and off-Road adventure, and its solid resale value is just sweetening the pot.

When Tacoma was redesigned in 2016, we wanted to know what it was like to live together, so we bought it. In particular, we bought the 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road and stayed with it in our long-term fleet for nearly two years, putting more than 40,000 miles on the odometer.

Tacoma is offered in six levels of Trim: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD off-Road, Limited, and TRD Pro. Entry-level SR is a working truck of a bunch, with value-oriented SR5 offering more equipment and more options.

Furthermore, it is a variant of TRD Sport and TRD off-Road which is very popular and well-equipped. Both are identical inside, but hardware differences make TRD off-Road more capable when the Going becomes rocky. Finally comes street-oriented Limited, which has a long list of convenience, and TRD Pro.
