All-New 2023 Toyota Prius
2023 Toyota Prius – Toyota is rumored to be developing a fifth-generation Toyota Prius ready to launch in January 2023.
Most Toyota models already get hybrid technology. But Toyota does not seem to forget the model that started hybrid cars and electric cars, namely the Toyota Prius.
2023 Toyota Prius
Although the prestige is not as strong as before, the latest news mentions that Toyota will launch its newest generation in January 2023.
A local Japanese site, Best Car Web, revealed that the next generation of the Toyota Prius development is being worked on.
They also mentioned that the fifth generation is planned to be launched in January 2023. So it is likely that new will be marketed in late 2023 or early 2024.
The fourth generation introduced in 2015 is no longer exploded in the market because its sales decreased from 236,000 units sold in 2012 to only 43,000 units sent to customers in 2020.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic is also the cause of reduced sales of Prius around the world.
Toyota is known as a manufacturer that does not hesitate to turn off the famous model. These include the Toyota Land Cruiser, which is set to be trimmed in 2021 in America.
This generational change is a sign that Toyota has not forgotten the Prius as one of the opening trends of electric cars from Toyota.
Sportier Coupe Style
One of the focuses of the latest Prius upgrade is a sportier exterior look. Best Car Web explains that the newest model will have thinner lights and a more coupe-like body, leaving the impression of a family car that has been pinned to this car.
While the current model already uses the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform maintained in the fifth generation later.
The engine is predicted to use a 1.8-liter four-cylinder model and a lithium-ion battery. Indicates more significant fuel efficiency improvements than previous generations.
In addition to the Prius, sources from Autoevolution mentioned that there are two other hatchback models that Toyota is preparing for in 2023.
Among them, the Toyota Supra GRMN with more than 500 hp of power. Similarly, the Toyota Corolla Sport GRMN has a capacity of 296 hp from a 1.6-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine with an all-wheel-drive AWD system.
2022 Toyota Prius Nightshade Edition
The 2022 Toyota Prius Nightshade Edition became the 11th Toyota model to infiltrate the market under the guise of darkness. This is the first hybrid model in the Toyota lineup to get bold Nightshade-style treatment as well.
The Nightshade appearance package adds black rims, headlight accents, rearview mirror covers, door handles, and badges.
The special edition package is available on a standard front-wheel drive or AWD-e Prius grade with three exterior color options: Midnight Black Metallic, Super White, and Silver Metallica. The front-drive model uses 17-inch rims, while the Prius all-wheel-drive uses a tiny 15-inch rim.
