New 2022 Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid

2022 Toyota Camry XSE

2022 Toyota Camry XSE – The Toyota Camry evolved from a fantastic family sedan into an unnamed four-door and is now back to its former glory. The Toyota is once again a truly desirable option in a segment that is slumping but still very competitive.

If it wasn’t for the 10Best dynasty, the Honda Accord, the Camry would be more in demand. However, credit its diverse powertrain plate for its mass appeal. There are four low-cost cylinders, a more cost-effective hybrid option, and a powerful V-6.

The best way to experience the latter is with the sport-tuned TRD model, which showcases Toyota’s reinvented pleasure factor. Those who prefer a stylish and comfortable family sedan, with the help of a driver and abundant popular features, will also love the Camry 2022.

only minor changes to the 2022 Camry lineup. The L base model is now gone, making le the cheapest Camry. The front of the sedan also got a style revision and there was a new paint color as well as a wheel design. there’s a touch screen like a new tablet that’s 7.0 or 9.0 inches in size.

Sporty XSE models are now available with hybrid powertrains, and the luxurious XLE gets new leather upholstery. Finally, each Camry receives improved driver assistance, including technology that better recognizes cyclists and pedestrians.

2022 Toyota Camry Engine

The standard four-cylinder engine pairs with a smooth eight-speed automatic, but the acceleration figures are disappointing. The less powerful version of the engine works with batteries and two electric motors to power the Camry hybrid, which is no more attractive to drive than a basic powertrain.

The real gem of this product range is the 301-hp V-6 available on XLE and XSE models as well as the TRD variant. We are also happy to say that we no longer hate riding a Camry. It has a controlled ride and very responsive handling.

The steering wheel has a comfortable weight and feels sturdy when cornering and light when maneuvering in the parking lot. We found the Camry brake pedal response and not very padded, even in hybrids, where it should blend friction with regenerative braking (where the energy from braking is used to recharge the hybrid battery pack)

Fuel Economy

The entire Camry range performs very well in EPA testing, and the four-cylinder model performs very well in our real-world highway testing. The most efficient nonhybrid Camry models are the LE and SE with four-cylinder engines, which obtain EPA estimates of 28 mpg of city and 39 mpg of highways; The basic LE hybrid earned a city rating of 51 mpg and a highway of 53 mpg.

However, the hybrid top trim sacrificed some efficiency at the altar of luxury, and the model supported by the V-6 earned a city rating of 22 mpg and a highway of up to 33 mpg.

The four-cylinder Camry SE produced 45 mpg in our road tests, beating its own EPA rating of 6 mpg — making it the most economical non-hybrid car we’ve ever tested. It even beat the Camry XLE Hybrid we tested with 1 mpg.

We’ve been driving a Camry under the guise of a top-level XLE and in a more native SE trim. Both are spacious and comfortable, and the XLE is really luxurious.

However, there is a serious gap in material quality between the initial level model and the more expensive version, and the middle part of the dashboard makes some of us feel cool with its uninspiring design.

The Camry is a large sedan, and there’s plenty of cargo space and interior storage both in the trunk and in its cabin with the back seat folded. It’s not the best in every storage category, but overall, it’s very competitive.

Toyota moved the hybrid Camry battery from the trunk down the back seat, so hybrid owners don’t have to sacrifice carrying capacity for extra mpg.

Toyota’s touchscreen infotainment system — called Entune 3.0 — is standard throughout the Camry lineup, with an improved version available as an option. Entune has many features and responds reasonably well to user feedback in our tests, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is standard.

Toyota Camry XSE  Performance

Camry Hybrid power is always delivered seamlessly, and there’s a staggering amount of thrust available. If you find yourself speeding at 30 mph and suddenly have to pass, sprints from 30 to 50 will be completed easily. The brakes are just as sharp, though road test editor Chris Walton calls them “almost like wood”.

The pedals are a bit tight, and it only takes a little time to get used to. But instead of lamenting the brakes and the lack of sense of pedals, you’ll just be grateful for the promptness.

And that’s why the Camry XSE Hybrid makes so much more sense than the Camry TRD: It doesn’t lie to you. Instead of sacrificing the best part of the Camry — that is, its use as an A-point-to-point B engine — for a half-baked effort on a sporty feel, he took that quality and developed it.

The hybrid powertrain is smoother than the rugged V-6, the inside is quieter at any speed, and as our test numbers show, the XSE Hybrid stops and drives almost as well as the TRD without the added inconvenience of a grueling journey.
