2024 Toyota Camry XSE
Since its introduction to the US market in 1983, the Toyota Camry has become one of the most popular and successful sedans in its class.
The latest-generation Camry is roomy, comfortable, sharp-looking, and fun — if not too exciting — to drive.
It’s also one of the few vehicles in its class that offers all-wheel drive, an advantage for those who live in snowy climates but don’t want to get behind the wheel of an SUV.
The Honda Accord remains the Camry’s biggest rival, and the Hyundai Sonata and Kia K5 deliver great value and style.
The Camry Hybrid XSE offers excellent fuel economy, comfortable seating, a roomy interior, and many standard driver safety aids.
The Toyota Camry Hybrid XSE is a four-door sedan and one of the most fuel-efficient cars on the road.
Getting around 50 mpg in a city/highway driving combination should be easy if you treat your commute and duty as a time test for a Formula One race.
On top of its fuel consumption, the Camry Hybrid brings all the positive attributes of a regular Camry, including a spacious and comfortable seat and an easy-to-ride nature.
While some automakers are discontinuing sedans from their lineup in favor of SUVs, there are still a few hybrid sedans available.
Notably, Toyota’s new Crown is more powerful than the Camry but still fuel efficient. Toyota has also released a redesigned Prius for 2023, which offers a stylish look and better fuel economy. Honda came out with a new hybrid-powered Accord as well.
Comfort is where every midsize sedan should shine, and the Camry Hybrid does just that. Climate control creates a welcoming environment, and the seats comfortably accommodate different body types.
Optional ventilated seats are a godsend in warmer climates, and very little noise in the cabin comes from wind or road at highway speeds.

The driving position is mostly adjustable, and most people will easily find a comfortable place behind the wheel.
Getting in and out of the vehicle is easy due to the wide door openings, and there is plenty of interior space for front and rear passengers and excellent visibility for the driver.
Camry Hybrid smartphone integration includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa standards.
The standard 7-inch infotainment touchscreen and optional 9-inch are easy to read and operate. Built-in navigation is offered on a higher trim if you so desire.
Three USB ports and the option to add a wireless charger will provide plenty of power for all passengers on the road.
All Camries come with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+. It’s an impressive set of standard driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane maintenance assistance.
Previously, some of these systems were too sensitive for us to like, but they have been refined for 2021 and work much better.
