It can pull up to 3,500 pounds, making it a practical choice for families who need a vehicle that can handle daily commutes and weekend adventures.

The exterior design is bold and refined, featuring standard LED headlights, available 20-inch alloy wheels, and an optional hands-free power liftgate for added comfort.

With a combination of efficiency, advanced features, and stylish design, the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is an excellent choice for a versatile and eco-friendly family SUV.

The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is expected to have a spacious and comfortable cabin that can accommodate up to eight passengers with third-row seating.

The panoramic moonroof adds an extra touch of luxury, while selectable driving modes allow drivers to customize their driving experience.

Modes include Normal for everyday driving, Eco for maximum efficiency, Sport for enhanced acceleration, EV Mode for electric-only driving at low speeds, and Trail Mode for additional traction in AWD models.

Toyota Highlander Engine

The Highlander comes standard with a 265-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel drive.

The Base L and midrange LE models can seat eight passengers using bench seats in the second and third rows, but a seven-seat arrangement with second-row captain’s seats is available on the higher trims.

Passenger space here is roomier than in the CX-9 but less spacious than in the Chevrolet Traverse, especially in the narrow third row for adults.

The materials in the entire cabin are much better than those in the last-generation Highlander. The Limited and Platinum High-end models provide the most comfort, but both are lacking compared to the features offered by the Palisade or Telluride.

An 8.0-inch infotainment system comes standard on most trims, but the Highlander Limited and Platinum get 12.3-inch screens with a 12.3-inch secondary screen that acts as a gauge cluster.

The mid-range XLE and XSE can be selected with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen but still uses the analog gauges of the lower-end models.

An 11-speaker JBL audio system is available. Toyota provides SiriusXM satellite radio, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspots, and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa integration for all models.

The wireless smartphone charging pad is optional and integrated into the dashboard under the infotainment display.

Regarding safety, the Highlander Hybrid is equipped with Toyota’s Safety System 3.0 suite, which includes full-speed adaptive cruise control, cyclist and pedestrian recognition for automatic emergency braking, road sign recognition, and an active lane control system.

The vehicle also offers cloud-based navigation, agent-assisted destination services, and other connected features by subscription, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Price

The Highlander Hybrid is available in various trims, with the base model starting at $40,220 and the top Platinum trim priced at $50,475.

All-wheel drive is optional, with an additional $1,600 for most trims and $1,950 for the top two.
