2024 Toyota Camry
A refresh of the 2024 Toyota Camry will see the sedan arrive with an updated design. We could see the Camry moving towards sharing a similar design to the newly released Crown and Prius.
The Camry can come with razor-thin headlights and updated fascia with a thin grille and a large front air inlet. At the rear, the sedan could benefit from updated taillights slimmer than the current one and revised bumpers.
2024 Toyota Camry
The next-generation 2024 Toyota Camry sedan is expected to launch in the next few years, likely adopting a hybrid-specific powertrain.
The design reveals the evolutionary look of today’s eighth-generation Camry, with a familiar three-box sedan body joined by elements derived from the Crown Sport, including; sleek two-tier LED headlights, a full-width taillight bar, a sharp lower front bumper, gloss black highlights, and a rear lip spoiler.
With the shift growing to electric power, the ninth-generation Toyota Camry will likely retain the current GA-K architecture – potentially retaining the same wheelbase and underbody of 2825 millimeters as a significant update.
Toyota Camry Engine
Under the hood, the new generation Camry is expected to see the elimination of a naturally-aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine in overseas markets, replaced by an all-new 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing around 198kW of power and 420Nm of torque.
Toyota Australia removed the Atmo V6 from the local Camry lineup in 2021, while the turbocharged four-cylinder engine will replace the V6 that came out in the Kluger big SUV early next year.
A more powerful hybrid version of the 2.4-liter turbo is available in the 2023 Toyota Crown and Lexus RX, offering around 250kW of power and an advanced all-wheel-drive system capable of sending up to 80 percent of the power behind the wheels.
2024 Toyota Camry Interior
Underlying the ninth generation global Camry will likely be a modified version of the TNGA-K (GA-K) platform used under current cars and some other Toyota and Lexus vehicles such as the Crown, ES, RAV4, and Highlander.
Not all new in this case will raise eyebrows; however, this is the same game used by Honda and their new Accord.
The reason behind this is a shrinking sedan market and the diversion of development funds to BEVs. A larger infotainment display with improved graphics and Toyota’s latest operating system will be displayed.
It combines wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ‘Hey, Toyota’ voice functionality, connected navigation, and over-the-air software updates.
Other trinkets will include a digital instrument cluster and smartphone-based remote key entry, all likely inspired by the larger Crown pictured above and the new Prius.
2024 Toyota Camry Release Date
The Release Date is still unknown so far. However, some experts hinted that it will be launched as a 2024 model next year.
Core Camry competitors include the newly redesigned Honda Accord, Subaru Legacy, Nissan Altima, Kia K5, and Hyundai Sonata.
The price of the 2024 Toyota Camry is expected to start at around $28,000.
